Hilalco carried out rehabilitation works in the biggest Sewage Treatment Plant in the region. The Mafraq Sewage Treatment Plant with a capacity of 350,000 cubic meters per day, services the Abu Dhabi and its surrounding areas.
The company installed and commissioned for the first time in the region fine screens that replaced the existing conventional rake screens.
The latest Scada monitoring system was customized, installed and commissioned for the entire plant which facilitated central monitoring of all operations of the treatment process and plant.
The project also included a large quantity of concrete rehabilitation, protective coating works and upgrading of the digestors and sludge pumps.
